Aside from Biblical feasts; Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

For our family, it’s more than eating delicious food and spending time with our extended family. It’s a time of reflecting on God’s faithfulness & provision in our lives. But this holiday of thanksgiving should be an everyday occurrence.
In a culture where our newsfeed and new channels seem to herald and harp on negative events; God’s exhortations to us are always counterculture.
One example can be found in Ephesians 5:4:
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.
Being thankful can be effortless when all is well in our life, but the true test of abiding in thanksgiving comes when the imperfections, disappointments and challenges of life make their appearance.
Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

So how do we cultivate an attitude of gratitude?
- Know what God says about the matter in Scripture.
- Realize that being thankful is an intentional choice.
- Look for ways to actively vocalize gratitude to God and others.
So let’s not wait until November to grow in gratitude.
